I let myself slowly ease down into it many times, letting it take me until I was suspended in relaxing positions. The clay pit was obviously smoother in texture but thicker than the peat. The clay pit has more of an even depth and has a concrete ledge on one side. the main pit was more than deep enough to play in and experience the full struggling sensation of being in a bog or many quicksand scenes. The smaller one is not really used although I tried the smaller one once and was able to sink somewhat knee deep in the smaller in it. The peat pit is actually subdivided into two pits close together. It's drag, it's submersive pressure on the body, it's yield is deceptively way thicker than it's runny appearance in 588 videos. The first time i resurface after a full submersion in the peat I heard her giggling but needless to say i had not felt anything quite like sinking in the peat. She playfully encouraged me to try sinking in the peat pit on my way there. I was apprehensive mainly with excitement so hesitation may have been apparent in my demeanor. me and the model went out on the property, she to walk some of the trails me to try one of the pits for a sink. I probably was the first out of all of us the actually sink in one of the pits on this visit. Then came time to try one of the main two pits. The water crystal stuff still had a similar consistency and I found several depressions that were attempted pits. It technically was the first pit I came in contact with but between going in the other pits I explored the property and found another extinct water crystal pit and stuck my fingers in it. He explained how it worked and me and the model stuck our hands in it. Fred took me and the model out to a shed that had the 4 feet deep water crystal pit. I learned Fred had a water crystal pit which I made it a point to at least feel although it wasn't ready for full use. I was able to learn a great deal about modeling and the industry from talking with them. I spent more time with either the model and Fred or the model by herself than any other person by themselves. I spent most of my time with the Redditer or the Model. The Youtuber that came with us was part of some of the shoots but he mostly did his own stuff. I was not volunteering directly under Fred but under the Redditer I came with who rented the place. It was a close nit environment where we knew we could trust each other and could explore the place. From the very beginning Fred was welcoming, clear spoken and let us basically mange ourselves. Because we got there just before midnight we simply put our stuff away and got settled. Upon arriving at studio 588 Fred, the owner, greeted us before we could completely get out of the car. We rode around Little Rock some before going on a 2 hour journey to a house in Leslie where the studio is located. I went with someone I met in a Reddit quicksand group and we met up with a Youtuber and a model at the Clinton, Little Rock airport. Due to different things happening in life I was not able to go until the beginning of September. When I learned this I immediately decided I was going to go as soon as possible, especially reading the experiences of others that have went. I learned someone could volunteer at Studio 588 February 2nd this year on a quicksand forum. This is about my experience going to Studio 588 for the first time September 2nd through the 6th.
